A clutter free, well presented home will always look more spacious and appealing to prospective buyers. You can help us present your home in the best possible way when you follow this simple checklist.
General
Clean all windows (especially those with a view)
Open all blinds and curtains – remove sheer/lace curtains where possible
Turn on all lights and lamps (replace blown globes and turn all fans and televisions off Remove any floor mats or rugs where possible.
Front of House and Entry
Remove cars from driveway and park away from the front of the house
Mow lawns and remove leaves and dead wood
Remove any shoes or bags from the front door or entrance hall
Kitchen and Dining Area
Remove items from bench tops, window sills and sink (except basic appliances)
Remove cleaning products, dish racks, cloths, tea towels, rubbish bin, pet bowls and litter trays
Clear fridge of all magnets, papers, photos and calendars
Add a decorative bowl or bowl of fruit or flowers to the kitchen bench and/or dining table
Lounge and Living Areas
Remove all unnecessary furniture and clutter to create an impression of space
Clear away all DVD’s, TV guides, magazines, remote controls, game consoles and controllers Clear coffee table of clutter and place large picture books or quality magazines on it
Add fresh flowers
Remove rugs and couch covers unless they are a feature
Bedrooms
Ensure beds are neatly made with fresh, clean linen
Remove personal items from bedside tables (eg. Books, glasses, jewellery, phones)
Tidy dressing tables and drawers – hide TV remotes
Remove floor clutter, fitness equipment, fans and clear area beneath the bed
Bathroom/Ensuite
Remove cleaning products and personal products from the shower
Remove all items from the vanity except for decorative items
Remove mats, clothes hampers, rubbish bin and items hanging behind the door
Display clean matching towels neatly folded or remove totally
Ensure shower screens, basins and mirrors are clean and dry and place toilet lids down
Entertaining Areas and Outdoors
Put away toys, garden tools, wheelbarrows, garden hoses etc (garage is a good place for these)
Remove washing from clothesline
Remove pet bedding, bowls and droppings
Council rubbish bins to be place out of sight
Swimming Pool and Outdoor Spa
Remove pool cleaner, cleaning equipment, cover, lilos and pool toys
Ensure pool is sparkling clean and surrounds are clean and free of leaves
Remove cover from outdoor spa
